Review: The much awaited story of Smith has arrived. This is one family that even when you miss a book or two you can pick them up in any order and catch up. Ms. Andre has made the Sullivans so realistic that I wouldn’t mind having them as my family. And if I wasn’t married they would be the family to marry into.
Through everything they are a constant and it is awfully nice to come home to sit down and relax with one of the Sullivans knowing that you will find some hot romance along with Mama Mary to hand out her wisdom and advice.
Smith is the second oldest sibling. I liked that someone in the family was a movie star. It made him seem unapproachable but really he was more down to earth than most thought him to be. When he first met Val I think he was attracted right away but she was a little aloof as she was serious and protective of her younger sister who was going to star opposite Smith. I think she intrigued Smith because she kept herself in a cocoon not looking at all that attractive. The flirting and sexual tension was enjoyable.
As their relationship advanced she found it hard to watch the scenes Smith did with her sister. I liked that the relationship wasn’t perfect. It was a little hiccup but they were able to get past that. The sex was steamy as they took their relationship to the next level. After they got the heated gotta have each other out of the way Ms. Andre showed us a sweeter more gentle side to their romance which was nice. It showed the softer side of Smith.
I really enjoyed Ms. Andre’s story of Smith and Val. It was like visiting old friends as it always is. I always enjoy getting to know the family more in each book. It is how you imagine a family to be. They aren’t perfect but they are there for each other showing respect to each other and those they fall in love with. Mama Mary instilled good strong values in her children. Ms. Andre adds the element of realism into her stories so that I find it very easy to relate to the characters and as they are intertwined as a strong family unit.
If you haven’t read any of her books this isn’t a bad one to start with. I think it is the perfect read for the beach or your day off. So pick up your favorite drink and get lost in Smith and Val’s romance.
